WARNING: PERSONAL RANT
I like old instruments. When I play them, I feel connected to all the other musicians who played them. It pisses me off when people buy beautiful old instruments - bidding up the prices until working musicians can't afford them - and hang them on the wall or put them in glass cases. (Might as well just burn them if they're not going to be played...)
Gibson J-200, circa 1952. I bought it from Jeff Lewis in 1968 in Hartford, CT - in my folksinger days. |
